SHOREHAM SOCIETY

A Vibrant Town Centre

Taking care that the heart of Shoreham is an accessible, inclusive and enjoyable place to go

IN THE TOWN

Shoreham’s focal point. Meet, shop, relax and enjoy.

A vibrant pedestrian-friendly corridor from the railway station to the river and beach is a desirable and achievable objective. People need to be encouraged to walk or cycle into the town, not only for their health, but to reduce the traffic and pressure of parking. We will campaign for more pedestrianisation of the town centre, and an increase in the number of benches, shrubs and trees to make the street environment more welcoming.

We encourage and support independent town-centre traders and venues, on-street community events and markets. You too, can help by joining the Shoreham Society, and getting involved.
